Townsends made selling my house super easy. They were professional and efficient with getting it listed and sold quickly. They also kept the sale moving along. Roger was brilliant from start to finish. Highly recommend and when the time comes to move on again I'll definitely use Townsends.

This has been my first experience of buying a place alone. I didn't need to worry as Roger, the person who looked after me was excellent. He explained everything going on and even if it wasn't really his problem to deal with, he guided me through the process with a cheerful demeanour. I called Townsends for different things and was always met with kind, helpful people who showed me what I needed to do.
I am a property owner letting through Townsends, for the last 12 years. I have found the staff to be very professional and very efficient in finding the right tenant, dealing with queries that may arise, and the general running of the property. I would highly recommend this company.
I am very unimpressed by Townsends and would strongly recommend people avoid dealing with them if possible. I rented a property for almost a year and kept it in good condition. Repair work had to be carried out during my tenancy, which meant I was unable to use part of the property. I was cooperative throughout, made no fuss and no compensation was offered or received. When leaving the property, Townsends' agent came round to inspect the property. I asked if there were any issues that needed addressing in order to ensure I received my full deposit back. I was told there weren't any. However, after leaving the property, they raised issues specifically about things that I had asked about during the inspection. Because of this, they took weeks to return my deposit and this was after they made deductions for things that would normally be regarded as general wear and tear. Save yourself the stress and hassle and rent with someone else!
