Wonderful rescue with a thorough screening process to ensure pets and humans are paired appropriately! We love our girl we adopted from this rescue! Highly recommend working with LDCRF to find your next furry family member

Lost Dog does great work rescuing pets and giving them homes, can't take anything away from that. However, they have a formalized process that makes you feel like you're getting 100% of the information about your new pet, only to find that they apparently don't perform the bare minimum vet testing to ensure full health before adoption. We took our cat to the Lost Dog-partnered Nova Cat Clinic and were informed of anemia and a pretty serious ear/upper respiratory infection. So far we're in more than 500 on vet visits and haven't even cleared up all the issues. Sure, adopt from Lost Dog. But make sure when you're going through the 15-stage application song and dance routine that you insist on seeing lab results for the animal you're adopting. Very disappointed in an organization I previously highly respected.

Really wonderful people running a great place! I am fostering a dog from LDCRF and I am so happy to be associated with them as a foster dad!

In the midst of Covid, I was desperate to adopt a kitty because I always wanted cats and I was especially lonely. Lost Dogs and Cat Rescue was the only shelter that responded to me in a timely manner and let me adopt with proper precautions. I am now very happy and very much in love with my black kitty, Sierra.

When I had my adoption interview, the representative at Lost Dog specifically said \we would never put a sick animal up for adoption.\ However, that doesn't seem to be the case. After taking my new cat to her first routine veterinarian visit, I was informed she had a severe upper respiratory infection, ear infection, ringworm and was anemic. These are all things that could easily be tested for prior to adoption but the rescue failed to do so. If you are considering adopting from Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation, please be aware of the fact that in addition to adoption fees you may be suddenly faced with extreme vet bills because you have been given a severely sick animal. I have had my cat for about a month now and the more I learn about her health, the more worried I am that my cat's life was in danger and the rescue simply saw her as a profit and failed to take care of her initially. Please do you research prior to adopting here. I hope Lost Dog cleans up its act because every animal there deserves better.
