Fairfax Ice Arena is a fun, inexpensive way to enjoy some exercise. They have skating lessons for beginners through private lessons for those who are interested in competing (some taught by former Olympians). They have 1 hour and 15 minute public skating sessions, which cost 9.50 (plus 4 if you need to rent skates), which are fun and exhausting if you haven't skated in awhile. They do require masks at this time, due to the pandemic, and have hand sanitizer. My son, his best friend, and my nephew love coming here once a week to skate, burn off energy from virtual school, and have a great time. The staff are fantastic! And the Pro shop is great! I bought my son ice skates for Christmas, and the price was reasonable, and the service was great. They also sharpen blades in-house, by appointment. I love this place!!!
