As a patient, I felt disregarded. I wish my physician, Dr. Khapra, took my procedure seriously throughout the procedure and after. I should have received my post-op diagnosis when I spoke my physician after the procedure. I felt neglected as a patient. This was a waste of money and a waste of service. Either she is terrible at communicating or she made it difficult to talk, which only escalated the problem. The office said I should be able to talk to her through the online portal but no one answered me back. Now I wished I looked at her reviews before scheduling an appointment.

I called 2 1/2 weeks ago and left a detailed message to schedule a colonoscopy and would have been a new patient. They never returned my call which tells me all I need to know about their Mickey Mouse operation. I made an appt. in 5 minutes with real doctor today

No one is ever at the office, no one ever emails you back even in emergency situations. I cannot get prescriptions filled, I cannot get appointments placed, I haven’t spoken to my doctor, Asma Khapra, in months because she will not respond. The nurse, Sophia Kim, is also terrible at responding and is generally apathetic. Because of them, I missed my Stelara dose which triggered a severe flair and was ignored for several days before the situation was even addressed. I’ve called numerous times over numerous days just to go to voicemail every time with no response. My emails don’t get responses, and my appointment requests are ignored. It doesn’t matter if I call, use the portal, etc. You might as well try getting a wall to treat your Crohn’s disease, you’d probably have a better response.

I am an existing patient and tried to make an appointment for a painful ulcer. Receptionist said Dr. Khapra was booked for two months. Best he said he could do was to get me in with a PA (which was fine) but not until two weeks later via telemed (not fine). How can you do a breath test for bacteria via telemed, and why are there no openings for existing patients with urgent issues? I had also called and left a message for Dr. Khapra’s nurse the day earlier but she did not return my call. This is such a badly run practice, which is really a shame because Dr. Khapra is great when she’s not elusive.

I have been seeing Dr, Khapra for past 3 years. She is absolutely lovely. I am glad I have found a doctor I can trust.
