Dr. Hegab had good bedside manner and he quickly and accurately diagnosed many issues with my GI tract. However, I have gastroparesis (paralyzed stomach), which was severe and not managed well by Dr. Hegab. I ended up needing a feeding tube and there were many issues that weren't properly addressed. I received a second opinion by another gastroenterologist, Dr. Minal Patel in Reston and she thought my care was neglected and there were other options and treatments to improve my quality of life. Dr. Hegab is likely a great GI specialist for diseases that are easier to manage but I would not recommend him for others with gastroparesis.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Hegab and his staff. He was very kind, caring and with great bedside manners...qualities that you rarely see in doctors anymore. I also give the whole office 5 stars. All the people that I was in touch with from the front office to the nurses, to the scheduling department and to the people working with the test results were wonderful. This was the best quality medical care I have ever had.
