Very professional private hospital located adjacent to the Exeter RD&E NHS hospital. If your visiting, try and get an appointment early or late afternoon as the car park is always full during the day...once inside the welcome is excellent with friendly, well informed staff, doctors, nurses and consultants, I was admitted for a colonoscopy in 2019 and they looked after me brilliantly, the day room was spotless, food and drink was excellent, everyone who I spoke to just seemed so caring, I felt I was in safe hands. Thank you all

I contacted the Nuffield about my painful hip as I couldn't even get an appointment at the RD and E or Torbay. I was seen by the consultant, Mr Jonathan Howell, within a few weeks and admitted for a hip replacement about six weeks later. As soon as I walked in at 7.00am on the day of my op, I was put at my ease, shown to my room and had everything explained to me. I had a spinal block and sedative, was totally unaware of the procedure and awoke with no nausea and minimal pain. The physio had me out of bed just a few hours later! I was discharged the following day. I would have liked an extra few days to enjoy the delicious menu! My recovery has been quick with minimal discomfort. All the staff were unfailingly polite and eager to help. I can't fault any aspect of my treatment. Thank you!

I needed an MRI scan on my knee so my doctor gave me a referral letter and I contacted Exeter Nuffield to book an MRI scan for late Dec 2018. When I went for my scan I was told by the Radiology department that it had been cancelled and that I would be seeing a consultant instead. I was not notified of this prior to my visit. I did not need to see a consultant but I thought it must be part of the MRI scan fee as no mention of extra cost was mentioned. After the 15min consult I was told I needed an MRI scan which I already knew. I had to wait 4 weeks to receive the results of my scan and then I received an invoice for 220 for the consultation. I was so angry and disappointed about my experience at Exeter Nuffield so I contacted the Hospital Director Paul Taylor. He acknowledged my complaint and said he would get back to me by 28th February 2019 with his findings. It is now 2 months later and I have still not heard back from Paul Taylor even after a couple of attempts to get a message to him. I feel that I have been let down from Exeter Nuffield on numerous occasions I even had to chase them for my results which is not acceptable. I would never go there again.
