When we were in lock down. I came here every day. No one around. No traffic noise. No trains. So peaceful and quiet. Now of course its back to how it was but never the less its a lovely park with great views and a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Look out for the Foxes!

Went there as a part of red coat tours. Beautiful, well maintained garden with historical significance. There are roses, monuments and greenery everywhere, and it’s surrounded with parts of Exeter wall and history. Relaxing atmosphere and a great place to spend time with family and friends. Pet friendly too!
Intetesting visit, part of Exeter I didn't know. Autumnal colours , very busy, with students, saw it all in 20 minutes, will visit again in the Spring. maybe then 5 stars.
Still an oasis of calm from a busy high street.
The oldest public open space in England (dating from 1612) these gardens are a lovely place to walk, sit, chat and generally chill. There are remains of the ancient Roman city wall, the later Saxon wall, and Victorian additions There is also a striking monument to the dead of the World Wars. The figure of a Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) nurse is believed to be one of the first women to be depicted on a war memorial in Britain. There are four entrances to the gardens, all of which are now wheelchair accessible. However the slope up from Queen Street is very steep. These gardens are Grade II listed in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.
