The food was nice, but in an empty pub I had to call the waiter not once but twice to enquire as to where our food was. Our empty starters were in front of us for a good 15-20 minutes. I saw the waiter having a right mothers meeting with a customer at the other end of the pub even though I had stated we would like our food as we had an appointment to get too. I wouldn't mind so much if they were busy but I really don't think this place would cope if they had more than a handful of customers. We shall not be returning.

We had breakfast here on a Saturday morning. The quality of ingredients was superb. The hollandaise sauce perfect (often difficult to get this right). The sausages and bacon thick, high quality and tasty. The tomatoes and mushrooms very flavoursome (often an afterthought and served bland in other restaurants). The cost very reasonable for such quality. We will definitely return. On a side note, our waitress brought the cutlery over wearing gloves and remembered to take them off when taking an order from the next table. This, for us, is basic hygiene but often forgotten by many who ‘reuse’ gloves. This puts faith in the quality of cleaning at Ewe and Lamb.
First time coming here. Beautiful food and reasonably priced considering the food was amazing. The staff was brilliant, didn’t wait long at all. Already booked to go again. And will be going back more often.
This was my first visit to this pub last week, a lovely bright spacious venue and a very different menu, all beautifully presented and of a very high standard. I would thoroughly recommend the curried cod with sweet potato and chicken peas and prawns. A lovely evening, highly recommended.
