I took the CCW at Civilian Defense Academy in December 2014. Great place for a beginner looking to learn the basics of firearms and qualify for a CCW. If you bring your own firearm, James will help you learn the mechanics of it; otherwise, he has a ton of weapons to learn with. He let us assemble/disassemble a few different handguns and brings a few to the range. If you're not sure what type of handgun you're looking to invest in, you should get a pretty good idea of what works for you at the range. The class is small enough that you'll get individual instruction at the range, as well as in the classroom. I have family members that took courses elsewhere and were 1 of 50 other people taking the course. Can't beat this place for the price!
