Although the inside element of the building is closed the outside provides you with lovely walkways and views across the estuary. Well worth a visit when you can. A excellent place for wildlife mindfulness.

Was fantastic (pre-lockdown) to find the Visitor centre open for takeaway. A much needed coffee on a wet walk!

We have been to the wildlife area a few times over the years, never had a bad experience. Parking on occasions can be a little tight, and the road running up is narrow (but not too dissimilar to other places that are like this!) Staff seem friendly and the cafe does bacon rolls and tea. Plenty of different areas to explore and look out on the wick! Also worth taking a look on their website as they often have different activities planned.

Lovely reserve on disused gravel pits with welcoming staff and a great mix of habitats for birdwatching with several hides on estuary and lake and nature walks in general.
