Went on Wednesday evening only two couples dining which was a shame as the food was delicious and the ambiance low light and music was very romantic. All Covid regulations in place, so very safe to dine just a shame more people are not coming out mid week. You need to support your local eateries or loose them!

We had a lovley meal last night, food was great and nicy cosy atmosphere with dimmed lights. Only reason I knocked it down 1 star was maybe a little pricey and staff come to your table twice, we had them come to our a few too many times to remove our plates when we hadn't finished which was a little annoying and asking how's the food would have been nice at least by the owner. Just the odd tinkering with the staff to be engaging at the correct times and owner being friendlier with the customers. Then nxt time I would give you the 5 stars

Dreadful...has Essence changed hands?! The food was tasteless snd the service completely in personal... not at all what we have experienced in the last few nths and years! Appalling really...none ofthe staff were people we recognised and the food ... looked the same but was watery and tasteless. Incredibly disappointing... has been our favourite restaurant for so long! So hoping it hasn't changed hands and all will be back to normal soon

It was our first visit and we walked away happy and full, excellent food and service, 100% we are going back....thank u essence for a fantastic meal
