I like this branch in general. Staff are helpful and nice. You have to book an appointment for being a new customer, otherwise you can visit them.
I don't understand why so many bad reviews! Most of them are 1/2 years old, so here it is my personal opinion. I didn't face any problem in all the process for opening a bank account. It took one week after my visit to the bank to get the famous call where you give most of your info to the Nordea. Also, the operator in the call excused himself for that week of waiting. All the Nordea assistants I talked with (by telephone or face to face) were really gentle and open to all my questions. In my case it took 2/3 weeks for opening a bank account and getting the card at home by post. Considering the fact that all of this happened in corona period is not really bad.
Zero trust to this bank. As new comer to Finland I have visited this branch of Nordea to open my bank account in Finland. After submitting the documents I have been told that I would be called in 10 working days to answer some questions to prepare my contract. After waiting for two weeks - no calls. I have reminded in two other branches (including central one in Helsinki) about the situation and requested a call two times again, but no success. The information l have got: the procedure in Nordea is that you need to wait for a call and that's all. Meanwhile, I have opened bank accounts in two other Banks. And, surprise, surprise, just today, more than one month later, after complaining several times to customer service per telephone, I have been called finally! No excuse was given, just the statement that they have a lot of rush at the moment ... So, if you want to have a reliable, logical and customer oriented bank - never come to Nordea!!!

Short-handed staff, all services have been cut to minimum. Banking system seems to be filled with errors, they charge customers for false purposes. No cash service whatsoever: they tell you to go to a branch in the east end of Helsinki to draw cash. Banking services have been squeezed into a mobile service application, which is an immoral way to treat seniors and customers with poor eyesight. I'm sure the company bosses and board are cashing into all the \cut expenses\. Why Finnish customers use this bank, is beyond my understanding. Vaikea ymmärtää, miksi suomalaiset käyttävät tämän pankin palveluita.
