Absolutely fantastic, good social distancing for current Takeaway only service. Best fish and chips you are ever likely to eat. Very user friendly app/website click and collect service. Would most definitely recommend
Just love this place. I've only eaten here twice (both during covid restrictions) and by rights should have had a miserable old time as it was roasting hot 1 time and freezing cold the other. But the food more than made up for the weather. Great product cooked fantastically well with good options for the kids. I can heartily recommend the black pudding and the black garlic mayo.
Some of the best fried cod I've ever had; the fish was perfectly cooked and the beer batter was crispy and flavoursome. The tartare sauce had a pleasing dill kick. The EEG fat fried chips were a little disappointing; they were a bit bland, too crispy for chip shop chips and the wife's ones were cold. 30 for large cod and chips twice, with two glasses of orange squash, some mushy peas, fried pickles and tartare sauce seems pricey to me, especially considering the no-sea-view. N.b chicken nuggets aren't offered on the kids menu, just sausage or fish; as a parent to 5 kids, one being a very fussy eater, I know this could be problematic. I would visit again, but only in passing - I wouldn't make a special trip again.
