We enjoyed our social distance date night at the speak easy. The food was amazing!

We had a late dinner last weekend. The surprise was the calamari. Crispy, tangy , well seasoned and a tad spicy. The steak was good, but the potatoes and spinach were smothered in sauce which kinda overpowered everything. With that said, my husband is still talking about those potatoes. They were decadent and super crispy.
Went to the Black Rabbit for the first time and I have to say I was impressed! I loved the speak easy vibe and I ordered a ghost pepper old fashioned (I think it was ghost pepper, maybe jalapeno) at the servers recommendation and it was realllly good. I did swap out the Knob Creek for Michter's Rye and I think it was a good decision. The pizza here is surprisingly amazing as was the charcuterie board!
A real gem in St. Matthews. Jack's and its sister speak-easy, The Black Rabbitt, evoke a feeling of class and sophistication. Expect great libations and a spot-on menu with classic fair. Imagine the television show Mad Men recreated in a local lounge.
Absolutely delicious food! Great service and such a beautiful place! I highly recommend!
