It's a beautiful area for walking. Very popular with dog walkers and kite flyers. When the racing is on, the wide open areas allow for free public access and viewing of the course. Derby day is a great experience.

Good place to go if you need a Covid jab!
Lovely place - if you're going to have a COVID-19 pandemic vaccination. The whole site is amazingly well organised, especially since the last time I visited this place was well before the old grandstand was demolished and the whole site upgraded.
Only experienced this venue from outside. It's now a very much needed vaccination centre. You drive in and there are marshal's telling you where to park. They give you a laminated number, which the person having the jab needs to take into the hall. There are marshal's telling you where to park. There is a toilet block close by for those waiting. There is a clear Exit sign. All in all its very well managed.
I went there today to have my first covid vaccination. Very well organised and friendly. Great views and a historic racecourse.
