Enterprise Car & Van Hire - Shiremoor

Have rented with these guys before and had a great experience, however rented a van to move house, no where else had the size van I needed so went with enterprise. Was charged the best part of 200 to rent the van for the day normally well below 100 we didn’t get the keys for the house till 3pm so was a mad rush to make it back in time and despite ringing and explain our predicament was told I would be charged for another 24 hours! Handed the van back 9am following day and was told everything was fine and I’d receive my deposit so presumed they were human saw sense and thought better. Until I got a payment of 2 into my bank instead of my 200 deposit , rang duty manager to explain things and asked him to empathise, he explained there was nothing he could do and when I asked to go through the complaints process there was resistance from him and I was told it would be bounced back to himself or his manager and the outcome would be the same all he could offer was a 10% refund. Really poor on this occasion won’t be going back.

Our insurance company hastings direct arranged a courtesy car for us through enterprise rent a car shiremoor. Emily from enterprise called me on the night of the accident to say she was arranging our car. Emily was polite, caring and very helpful. We collected our courtesy car the next day. Enterprise staff were excellent, very polite and courteous. Would definitely recommend.

Terrible service. My insurance company organised a rental car from enterprise and I have never experienced such a bad service. I organised my car to be repaired but due to enterprises incompetence in organising me a car I was forced to re-arrange. When eventually collecting a car I was told they will match it with my car (VW Passat GTE Advance) I was given a Nissan X-trail not sure who compares the cars and matches them but I can’t see one similarity in these cars, when stressed my concern to the staff my main issue being boot size an extremely rude manager stormed on the scene maskless to adjust the boot and storm away. When collecting the car I was told I had to pay the 69.99 damage waver, I told the staff surely this is covered by the insurer, the staff went to check this and came back saying it isn’t, I therefore paid the waver only for my insurance to have it refunded, I was then hounded by enterprise to repay it only for it to be refunded again. The worst part of it all was the fact when I collected the car it clearly had not been cleaned only for me to find half chewed haribos and sweet wrappers in the central compartment which with what is going on at the moment is disgraceful. Would never use Enterprise again.

Having been a client for around 10 years, i was told today that i can no longer rent with Enterprise, because they have changed their booking system. Great way of treating customer loyalty!

Hired a large Luton van, was surprised with how affordable it was to hire compared to some of the other hire places. The van I was given was in really good condition, very clean and must have only been a few months old. The other vehicles I saw parked up all looked almost brand new too. The pickup/return process was also easy and the staff were very helpful and professional.
