Enterprise Car & Van Hire - Portadown

I hired a van for a day to move house. Van came on time. The side lights were being kept on by tape. They never told me about excess cover or anything like that. I used the van for the day and was told I would get a phone call for when they were coming up to pick up the van. The next day I had to ring them because I never received a call and they claimed they wanted me to get the full 24 hours from the van and wouldn't pick it up until tomorrow. However, they would not disclose if I would have to pay for a second day because of this. Next day, I wasn't available so when they picked up the van, they talked to a member of my household. The person gave all the details to the member of my household, no discretion and did not wait until I came or to call me. They claimed I had a broken back light to which I never crashed or could have possibly caused damage. They rang me up to tell me that I would have to pay 1400. This was for the back light, a minor claim. I have lost my deposit and was told I would be called about paying the 1400. They said that I should have had excess cover but no one had actually mentioned it to me. I am still waiting for a call. Highly unprofessional, I would not recommend

Stay well clear of this place and pursue other alternatives. The young guy called \Ian\ has to be the most inconsiderate, bad mannered and arrogant person that I had ever engaged with. His customer service skills leave a lot to be desired and his treatment and operations are totally disgraceful. He is a total liability to this company and I would strongly advise the public and insurance companies to seek services elsewhere. I would rather crawl in the nude over broken glass than obtain a rental car from this Portadown Branch.

Excellent service from start to finish. Reliably informed every step of the way. Phone calls are answered promptly by friendly and courteous staff. The vehicle itself was spotless. Also received a courtesy call to check everything was ok and we were happy. Highly recommend to all who need to avail of a high quality and professional car rental service!
