Energy Conversion Technologies Reviews | Rating 3 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Energy Conversion Technologies is rated 3 out of 5 in the category mechanical or industrial engineering. Read and write reviews about Energy Conversion Technologies. Energy Conversion Technologies provides power from heat If you have (waste) heat >70°C our proprietary isobaric expansion technology of Dutch Technical Twente University R&D spin-off company Encontech can help you saving fuel, by converting it into useful mechanical energy (e.g. hydraulic pulses) for various applications: pumping, compressing, cooling, electricity production, shaft power and even propulsion! No electricity connection needed, only heat! Principles: Dense working fluid, isobaric expansion & hydraulic power output. Heat sources: Combustion of regular fuels or biomass, solar or geothermal energy and/or (truck/marine engine or industrial process) waste heat. Application area: Everywhere where mechanical power is needed: heat driven pumps & compressors in industry, for water pumping (irrigation & desalination), air conditioning & refrigeration, heat pumps, waste heat recovery, hydraulics, (remote) power generation from traditional and renewable heat sources, micro-, small- and medium-CHP installations and even propulsion engines for trucks, locomotives and ships! Advantages: + Any heat sources >70°C, so fuel flexibility. + High power density + Easy scalable from kW to several MW's + Flexible combination of speed & torque + High thermal efficiency (>50% of Carnot) + Very simple & cheap (no expanders & high-pressure pumps needed) + Targeted capital costs: 500 €/kW Latest publication in Energies: http://www.mdpi.com/1996-1073/11/1/154 We are looking for international partners (e.g. pump, compressor and engine manufacturers) who are interested in co-development of applications mentioned above.
