The Open Source base system, which is not protected by any licensing software, can be extended at run-time with commercial (closed-source) plugins. This model changes the seismic interpretation landscape. All potential users now have access to advanced seismic interpretation techniques. Moreover, the model stimulates research and shortens the time from concept-to-customer. We know that we cannot do everything on our own but together we can push technology forward. This is why we collaborate with other service companies: together we can offer a wider range of services to our clients. This is why we collaborate with other software vendors: we encourage everyone to use OpendTect as development platform for their own (open or commercial) plugins. And last but not least we collaborate with our clients to ensure that our solutions meet their requirements. Since the start of dGB in 1995, we have worked at the forefront of seismic interpretation technology. We have a proven track record of solving complex seismic interpretation problems and producing smart software solutions.
