I recently visited End of An Ear store in South Austin and left with mostly what I needed. There was a pretty good selection of artists, but I wasn't able to find anything about the Misfits or Danzig for a gift. Otherwise, I enjoyed browsing and will definitely stop again. As a bonus, the employees were very friendly and welcoming.

Great selection. Location seems a bit iffy, but it's fine and so worth it. Everything you could ever think of and more. Jazz, rap, classical, international, soundtracks, classic rock, metal, they have it all. Worth the trip.

I absolutely love End of an Ear. Been shopping since 2013 when they were on South 1st. The employees are all friendly and helpful. The used section is well curated. The equipment section is awesome too. They have been a life saver during quarantine. Give them all your money!

My fave local record store. The owners have been selling records for longer than I've been in town (15 years) and have a huge selection - everything from pop and folk (for me) and weird and obscure (for the husband). During Covid they've kept us updated on inventory through Instagram (which is how the husband recently scored a Zappa album he was super geeked about) and offer safe curbside pickup. In a weird time when businesses are struggling to conform to the new post-covid world, these guys have managed to evolve and keep the music available to their customers. Definitely one of the best places in Austin.

Great variety of music and friendly staff. Bought a Death in June LP that I had been looking for and spent a good amount of time just checking out everything there. When I'm in Austin, I'll go back for more record shopping here.
