Having had a terrible experience at a local car sales garage (NOT EMG) I felt compelled to leave EMG a 5* review. I've been using them since 2015 to service and sort my Ford Focus vehicles and I've never ever had a problem. Everything has always been done on time and I've never had to go back and question the work or quality. I can honestly say, having had such a poor experience sownwhere else that EMG are a reliable and friendly place to go. Yes, you'll pay a bit more here than you would at an independent but that's to be expected; I'd say it's justified too because you know you're getting a good service. I'm surprised to see 1* reviews saying the staff are rude because in 5 years I've never experienced anything other than polite professional staff. I find Sean and the service team very friendly and they always keep me up to date with progress. I have another MOT and service booked for this coming Thursday so I'll update the review once I've had it - it'll be fine though, I know my car is in excellent hands here. 24 October 2020 update As I said above, I'll update my review and as I expected, nothing but helpful friendly service from Sean and Dave. I asked for some of my internal trim to be clicked back into place whilst it was with EMG and the job they have made of it is excellent! Looks like new again. My service book wasn't stamped so I asked for it to be done along with a copy of all my old services. With no fuss it was all done and ready the next day. Car drives better too after the service... feels nice and responsive so thanks EMG. I will be back!

For a franchised dealership the guys here made a refreshing change from past experiences, with thanks to James who from the initial visit and the subsequent visits, test drive, my many emails and phone calls made no pressure to buy, he answered any and all questions making the whole transaction a pleasant one, also thanks to trainee salesperson Josh who stepped in on handover day to finish of the top notch service. These guys will be high on my list for my next vehicle change.
Disgraceful! I wouldn't award any stars, but 1 is the lowest available. I bought a used car, which was back in their workshop within a week, due to engine problems. After 3 unsuccessful attempts to repair the car, I had 2 independent diagnostic tests, which showed terminal engine problems, along with braking and steering issues. EMG still wouldn't refund my money. They left me going into the first wave of the pandemic with a seriously defective car, knowing full well that I needed to get to work at the hospital. The car eventually broke down and I had to leave it in the hospital car park, it then took EMG 6 weeks to recover it. Leaving me to walk. Due to their very poor customer service, terrible attitude and lack of care, it is now 15 months later and I have yet to receive a refund. I've had to take my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service who have decided in my favour. The car wasn't fit to be on the sales forecourt. Do not buy a used car from them, because if it goes wrong, they don't want to know.
Recently bought a Mazda 3 from Will at EMG Bury. From start to finish (and beyond) the service we received was fantastic. Will got us the best deal, better than we thought we would get prior to buying. The aftercare has also been great, had a minor scrape on one of the alloys, for which Will was amazing in finding a quality alloy repair company at a cheap price. Can't rate them highly enough, will definitely use EMG Bury again for future car purchases!
