My mum who has dementia stays at this lovely home for respite care. I know that when I leave my mum for a break, she is happy and doing many activities. I get phone calls to update me on things. The staff are lovely and friendly and my mum has returned a few times. I would highly recommend Emerson Grange.

The excellent care my Aunt has received over the past two years has continued throughout the \Lock Down\. The arrangements for visits during the pandemic have been first class and I am grateful for the care provided by all the staff.
Emerson has been home for my elderly friend for over a year. As her care needs have changed during this time the staff have always found the most appropriate ways to support her. She feels that Emerson is her home now and is very well settled and looked after. I am her next of kin and the staff has always been friendly and professional and kept me up to date with her needs. Before lockdown I had easy access to see my friend and would join her for lunch ( always very tasty ) and could take her out to appointments as needed. There were so many activities that she could join in if she wanted to and Emerson had a happy atmosphere.Her room is well designed and equipped. During the lockdown they have managed to accommodate a few visits in a safe way. They have had an active testing programme for the Covid virus of staff and patients and have managed very well in this challenging time. I was particularly impressed when they arranged for a dentist to visit my friend and treat her in her room with a difficult dental problem. I am confident that she is safe and well looked after by an experienced team.
I was an evening of a lady who was in there for recouparation after an op in hospital I went to see her and was asked if I was taking her to hospital ,I said no as didnt know anything about it when I left her she was in bed waiting to be taken to hospital as had hurt her hand ,I rang a&e the next day apparently she had a fall and had discolated her shoulder and had cellulitis of her hand ,she never went back to emerson she came home and we have never had an explanation as to how or when this happened .which makes me wonder if I hadn't gone that day would we have ever known !!! Lovely looking home but the care is not there ,it's just in it for the money ,they sell a dream . disgusting
