This is a charming place with a very traditional (hand written!) menu. Food was very good, especially the fish which was excellently cooked. Lots of art on the walls that proved to be a great conversation piece. It was delightfully eccentric with oodles of character.

Dining here with friends, we entered toward our table through the kitchen, which was a bit quirky. The food was good wholesome and generous in quantity. We both had sea bass and it and the seafood sauce it was served with was excellent. I had the lemon dessert, which was something else! Very enjoyable and not too expensive.

We had a wonderful afternoon here dining in the garden. The food was delicious, the portion sizes generous and the staff very friendly and kind. We will be returning! We were also super impressed with the protective measures the restaurant were taking against coronavirus - plenty of space between tables, the waitresses wore visors and lots of hand sanitiser on offer.

A restaurant with it’s room layout still in the form of the old house. The place has lots of atmosphere with a quirky feel complimented with it’s waitresses. The food is excellent English cuisine.

utterly charming. We came here for a family birthday at the weekend and loved it. Great food, great atmos, lovely environment, friendly staff. This is a place to linger over three courses (don't tell anyone, but they might offer you seconds, which we didn't have room for). The 1 & 3yr olds in our party loved the garden, with its swing, mini table and chairs, and little paths to 'secret' parts of the garden. Thank you!
