Very poor service. The purpose of writing this review is to make customers aware of Sports Directs' non-refund policy (unless the goods are faulty). I recently purchased a gym top which was far too small. It was partly my own fault as I didn't try it on in the store (not knowing that a refund would be such a big issue). I took it back the following day and as they didn't have any larger sizes in store I asked for a refund. I was naturally very disappointed to be told that it was not possible to get my money back and that I would be given a credit note. All quite legal I understand. Most (reputable) businesses normally give monetary refunds as a gesture of goodwill. As the store didn't have any larger sizes of the garment I asked if they could order me one in. Not possible I was told. Brilliant (not). I was then kindly informed by one of the staff members that I could order a larger size myself on-line to be delivered to the store. This would however incur a 4.00 delivery charge. My experience in the store was getting better by the second (not). The staff were hardly sympathetic - in the end I reluctantly accepted the credit note. As Ely is a small store with limited stock I had to travel into Cambridge to visit a larger store to find something I liked, just to spend the credit note. In summary, make sure that you try on any garments and be 100% sure that you will keep any items purchased as you won't get your money back.

I find 9 times out of 10 thebstaff helpful. They were very good when i bought 3 pairs of trainers on line and complained as i paid more than the price tags on the boxes!! They refunded me in full so all 3 pairs were a gift care of Sorts Direct :-)
We all have different opinions about Sports Direct, but people who are working in Ely shop are exceptional!
Ok unless you want to return anything , if you do make sure you read the sale of goods act 1st , staff will be quite unreasonable . Not much that makes me lose my temper these days but they managed it
You don't go to SD for the high quality products. What you DO go for is run-of-mill stuff that you know will do the job. Given the well documented issues with pay and working conditions, I think the staff at this branch do a good job, and have been courteous and willing to help whenever I've gone in there. So, well done to you guys, and don't understand the mainly negative reviews.
