Beautiful cathedral. So much to see in the town of Ely. It's like going back in time. Quaint shops & homes. The streets are narrow & homes have beautiful gardens. Loved my time in the the little town of Ely

A magnificent cathedral that, like so many others, dominates the landscape. Ely Cathedral was originally founded as a monastery by Etheldreda, daughter of a Saxon king. Be sure to see the octagonal lantern tower, a real wonder of medieval architecture.

Beautiful cathedral to visit - manageable size, would recommend combining with the stained glass museum.

Absolutely stunning place. One of the most lovely cathedral I saw in UK. The town is lovely so our family spend great day.
