The reason I love Elphicks is the haberdashery department. It's not easy to find a place locally where you can purchase dressmaking fabric and notions at reasonable prices. Today's visit was not entirely successful because they didn't have lining fabric in the colour I wanted, but I did get a couple of zips so it wasn't a wasted journey.

A brilliant independent department store. Go check out their tasteful Christmas lights. Staff are always friendly and the pricing is competitive. Nicw try section. Can't wait to get in an do some Xmas shopping soon. Good cafe on 1st floor too.
Elphicks is a really good small privately owned department store in Farnham. Although I don't buy lots from there, I usually find something that I've looked for but can't find in other places. They frequently have excellent sales with reduced prices so you can bag a bargain. Their servers are well trained in customer service and always polite and friendly. Now that the cafe has been updated you can treat yourself to a reasonably priced coffee and cake. Farnham wouldn't be the same without it.
Not too crowded even on a Sat in December so wasn't a problem to socially distance, got some lovely gifts and also the cakes and coffee at Heidi's are so good!
