An absolute disgrace of a place. I called to make a booking on Wednesday to reserve a boat for my father and myself for a days fishing for Saturday . When my call was answered, the chap whoever he was took my name contact telephone number and asked what time we would be arriving. After travelling for over an hour we arrived to find the place closed and deserted, also the water was un fishable due to the amount of Algae. We about turned and went to Lochter and had a tremendous day.

Fished Haddo Trout Fishery for the first time with my brother on recommendation and found the location and fishing to be very natural and well established with plenty biodiversity for the fish to feed on.... which made for a tasty fish. Well stocked and diverse fish varieties and sizes. Great to be boat fishing from the water also and plenty of friendly/knowledgeable advice from Viv.
As an fly fisherman I have fished numerous fisheries over the years but the owner, Vivian, is very friendly, enjoys a laugh but is very knowledgeable and passionate about fly fishing and his fishery. It is a very relaxed and the quality of fish is top class and if you enjoy the dry fly this is the place to go !!!! I would go no where else if I had a day off
Was planning 2 week vacation & came across Haddo Fishery thru google when searching for fishing around Aberdeen - Fantastic day had by all - My son caught his fair share of fish & met a new friend named Jet. Great day with the fish taking drys - rainbow, blue & browns (elk hair caddis). Great hospitality from Viv with his unexpected BBQ lunch & son got a few tips that will make him a future fly fisherman - Highly Recommended if in/around area & cannot wait to go back. Thanks Viv
