We love Elder! The food is always top notch and the atmosphere relaxed and casual. The chef creates interesting dishes using quality ingredients. This evening, we had roast lamb breast and roast belly pork for our main courses. They were so tender and moist. For dessert, we had the blueberry sponge with coconut cream and baked cheesecake, both of which were to die for. The service at Elder is always friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere relaxed and casual. We had a decent bottle of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon, which we both enjoyed and which we considered good value for money. We look forward to returning to Elder again and again, and we wish the chef and his team the very best.

Had a lovely lunch here earlier today. Some incredible food on offer for great prices. We were happily bowled over. Good drinks too, friendly and attentive staff as well. Highly recommend.
This little gem is remarkable. How could flavoured butter be a thing that makes you force your fellow diner to taste it? Trout starter wow. Twice roasted lamb was perfect, we brought home the remains of the cabbage with miso it was so good. And the raspberry and sorrel sorbet with honeycomb (had a wonderful autumnal tang of black treacle) and a roasted almond paste (apologies that I can't remember the proper name) was perfectly balanced. I expected the almond to be overwhelmed by the other flavours but it held up brilliantly. Thank you.
Fantastic food, drinks and service. Looked after by caitlin all evening. Loved the small but diverse menu. Servers knowledge of the menu was very good
The food was great quality. Quite small portions. More of a light lunch than meal. Menu was limited especially for children. Woudn't take kids there again. Staff all friendly and felt covid-safe.
