El Rodeo Taco Shop & Grill

You guys.... I’ve preached about other taco shops and I have to say this is the best I’ve had in SD by far. Little hole in the wall, I’ve never heard about this place until I was trying to find a quick taco shop close to where I live. I’m a creature of habit and I always go to El Azteca or Ponchos Authentic in El Cajon. This place is better than both combined. My wife ordered red chicken enchiladas combo and I order a cali burrito Her enchiladas tasted fresh and homemade. Flavor was on point. My burrito was the BOMB! So fresh and perfectly balanced with flavor. Not too much cheese or fries, perfect amount of sauce and ingredients. Their salsas were really good too. THE CHIPS ARE AMAZING. Perfectly salted, not to bland or hard/stale. Perfect crisp. Will definitely keep going back. Our spot from now on when we’re craving classic taco shop food.

WOW . if you dont try it . thats ok. more for us.IM SUPER picky . im from Norcal and the mexican food is different from here but dam this is amazing. i got lengua tacos, papaya milkshake, and 2 churros. everything was amazing.

I've never been disappointed in El Rodeo. I've ordered the 5 rolled tacos and today I got a california burrito. They are super fast, cheap, and you get great portions! Just look at the size of this burrito!!

Stopped in for a bit of lunch..keeping it simple..Carne Asada Burrito, no pico, little bit of guacamole...basically, just the Meat, Ma'am! Enjoyed the sauces, nice to see 4 types, as I will finish all of them... Definitely recommend having chow here... I reckon, grilled green onions, fresh water soaked radishes, and sliced cucumbers...would have been epic, and blown my mind...but one can dream.. Enjoy!

Love this place. Best I’ve found in the area. Go for the surf and turf Cali burrito, you won’t be disappointed or hungry
