I was in this program in 2007 for 6 months and I really appreciate the help and support they gave me there. Thank God and thanks to you, now I have my green card, I'm now qualified for my citizenship!!, I have a really good job and will soon join the Marine Corps!! I used to come here in the early 1970s when it was a USO.
I was with my son at hospital setting last weekend and I witnessed the most compassionate staff member from this program. She was accompanying a young girl about 12 years old from what I overheard was from Honduras and had just crossed a few days prior. This staff member who's name I did not get, was wonderful, empathetic, and supportive with this young girl. I could tell that she was trying her best to make the best of the hard situation for this young girl. With all that is going on with the media and our current president, I was relieved and hopeful to see that these kids to a certain extent are in the hands of great caring people.
