In a city with a thousand Mexican restaurants how can one stand out above the rest? By standing out the longest. But that's not all. It also helps that they serve the best enchiladas and margaritas in town. And it helps they have a die hard following that goes back decades at this location - a long time favorite of celebrities and movie industry folks. And of course there's Billy. Who is Billy? Well if you don't know it means you need to go. It's sad but true that Sharon Tate and her friends ate their last supper here, and many continue to flock here on August 9 every year with morbid fascination. We too have dined at Sharon's table - but on her birthday (January 24th) instead, after our annual visit to her grave in Culver City. For years this is also the place we chose to go for our kids birthday meals - even our own. Why? Because we love the food and the atmosphere - simple as that. You feel like you're part of the family here, and part of the history. Forget all those attempts at trying to jazz up Mexican food with various modern twists. No, when it comes to Mexican you want the real, authentic, old school version. And that's exactly what you'll get here. If for some reason you live in Hollywood or LA and still haven't been to El Coyote, well you don't REALLY live here yet. So come on, join the family and the tradition. Tell Billy Brad and Jess sent you, and to keep our table ready, we'll see you again soon.

This site is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. when I feel like having a superb supper, this is the place that comes first to my mind. outstanding and food and a large list of dishes.courteous staff, and great ambience. Not less important, the charge is reasonable. I sent my friends to this spot with no hesitation.

This place is a classic LA restaurant, they have outdoor seating or you can order take out. There was a typical wait time, once seated you scan the qr code for the menu. Our food was delivered hot and everything was delicious. My favorite is the cheese enchiladas.

One of my favorites places! Everything is great. Service is awesome. I love the orange french toast. The berry cake is super tasty. And of course the coffee! My favorite is the dirty Chai. And if you sit on the batio you can bring your fur babies.
