One of my favourite restaurants to go to. Food has always been amazing the 20 times I’ve been and the staff are always a pleasure. Highly recommend! Top 3 dishes have to be the Battered Prawns, the Pork in blue cheese & the ham&cheese croquettes. Delicious!

I rate places against el torero's on side street wherever I go, that's our favorite place & we go regular, this is right up there absolutely top notch, couldn't fault it even if I tried,well worth a visit & if I was halfway between them I wouldn't know which way to turn, rustic charm and excellent quality with a truly wonderful rioja
Best tapas in Newcastle! Our second visit and will definitely return for a 3rd. We travel to Newcastle once per year from Lincoln and this is a must visit now for us. Excellent food, great service and reasonable prices. Already looking forward to our next visit!
Lots of variety, highest quality food, superb friendly service and realistic prices. The ambience is fantastic and the décor really interesting and original. Most impressive of all is the authenticity of the food (and the Spanish beers!!). You could be in Spain.
Foods fab Great value Nice atmosphere Service lacking in areas Last minute booking with restaurant week and they fitted us in with ease. No one at the front bar to greet which is a shame so wondered through to back to get seated. Now I don’t expect a run down of the menu on arrival but a quick briefing and drink offerings usually standard. Not leaving the menus in a heap and walking away got the sense their a little understaffed. Food and drinks came out prompt and all tasted great. Loved ever dish! This place is very reasonably priced outside of restaurant week and worth going for the food.
