Easily one of the best Tacos places in Austin! Everything from the food, the service and the atmosphere here is great! They have a wide range of tacos to chose from and all of their meats that I’ve tried are cooked and seasoned to perfection! They also have delicious tortilla chips with great guacamole; you can tell it is all made fresh. I also recommend this place if you’re looking for a good margarita. 10/10 recommend to anyone!

I got the recommendation to visit El Chilito from the A Taste of Koko blog, and it didn't disappoint! The staff was friendly and helpful, my order was ready quickly, and the food was delicious! I ordered the Selena and Napelito tacos. Looking forward to trying more items in the menu!
I love this place and the food is usually good, but this time there were several issues. I won’t be eating here again. First, they gave me the wrong size coffee. Innocuous enough, and they gave me the larger size that I ordered. On my way home, drinking out of the same cup, I spilled some coffee on my dress shirt. When I got home I took the lid off and noticed a punctured hole in the lid below the actual opening, almost hidden. This was a manually punctured hole. It did not look like a defect in the lid. So, now I have to scrub out a coffee stain from a 100 dress shirt, and it seems like this was completely avoidable. Second, the tacos were put in a brown paper bag and were leaking. I asked for another bag after almost getting liquid all inside my car. This bag still leaked onto some leather seats and stained them red. I was not able to get the stain out completely. Most people I see ordering here get it takeout. This is truly unacceptable. Third, one of the tacos was awfully sugary. I had to douse it in fiery hell to cover over the sugar. Sometimes, you just have to say: never, ever again.
Classic Austin tacos. Try the Guadalupe - who else in town has nopalitos!?! And of course order on corn tortillas as El Chilito uses doubled up El Milagro. So good. Great homemade chips and queso.
