Hidden gem! Excellent service, I was greeted like a regular, adviced on what to order with several choices, natural Mexican juices and Waters. And VERY, VERY tasty food! One of my places to look for when I'm around Chicago. Will come back here for sure! The quesadilla mixta with nopales and carne asada, IS to die for! Nice people quiet place. Very recommended
Best food around
I drove all the way from Evanston to this place today because I was really craving some great Mexican food. I used to live in this neighborhood & there's just nowhere as awesome as this place. Don't be put off by the ambience. Its not a fancy looking place, to put it mildly. You don't want to take a date there you're trying to impress, but if you want the best Mexican in town (that I've found) this is the place! Hands down. I had 7 mares soup today for 13 (nothing -its so cheap for what you're getting) and there's not a whole lot, if anything that costs more than this on the menu.
