I have been here a few times in the past for the Grey Cup, Canada’s biggest party. The football game is always a grate atmosphere. This stadium is home to the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL. It can be very crowded in the concourse area when the stadium is really busy with people buying food drinks and people walking around it. The concourse is covered but not the stands or field.

The Eskimos won, the fans are passionate, it is a feel good place for me and I also had killer seats on the 50 yard line with my sweetheart, who thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of sitting down low, close to the field. I also got a great panoramic shot
I absolutly love concerts and football games here its a real treat before covid anyway
The Commonwealth Stadium is currently set up as a temporary homeless shelter for men and couples. It should clearly be stated that single woman are not permitted to utilize this service. The rules of this shelter are not posted anywhere. They do not allow the clients outside to smoke between 8 pm and 11 pm. Very strict rules and a definite change in these rules is needed
This place has been turned into a shelter for the homeless during the recent cold snap its offering a place to sleep,3 meals a day as well as showers and bathrooms there is also security on site and several free shuttles a day
