Would not go back here ever again. Ladies in the shop were generally rude, and clearly not following the COVID mask rules. One put on a transparent mesh mask she had at the register when I came in, the other had the smallest face guard I've ever seen. The one with the mesh mask came into my personal space/encroached on 6' social distance, and I had to awkwardly back out of the store to stay away from her.

I love the selection here. I went here for my first sewing class before I went to design school, because I had never sewn in my life. The customer service is hit or miss. Though it's hard to find a one stop shop for lots of different types of sewing machines and tools. SALES: keep an eye out for their workshops and sales - joining their email list could be a good option. I went to a fabric sale here when an older fabric store was closing and got very high quality vintage Italian Wool Blends for dirt cheap. NEW DESIGNERS/seamstresses : FANTASTIC place for tools like a variety of French Curves , Large square rulers. Well organized based on purpose.
Very friendly and helpful staff!
I have purchased many machines from the West End location of Central Sewing. Every time I shop at the store they go above and beyond. They also allow you to shop, they don't pouch on you. Each sales associate has many years of experience with the machines. If one person doesn't know the answer they will always get back to you. The reason I keep returning to the West end store is the after sales service. If you buy a machine you get free lessons. Like....how awesome is that! Purchasing the machines is the start, gaining more knowledge on how to get the most out of your machine is another. Oh, and this is where central helps again. Sewing classes and lessons, they obviously know machines are expensive and learning to sew hands on is important. Every time I shop at this store I'm there for at least an hour, the staff are like friends. Keep up the good work everyone, I appreciate everything you all do and know.
Purchased some thread and Handi-Quilter needles for an HQ Fusian quilting machine. Staff was very helpful and prices reasonable.
