My 6 year old son enjoys Michael's chess club and has been a very keen learner. From my understanding, Michael is a very patient and child-friendly teacher who is very passionate about Chess and spends a lot of time researching newer techniques. My son looks forward to his sessions with Michael. I wish and hope Michael's chess club becomes more popular and lot more children and adults learn the highly intellectual game of chess!
Great teacher and lovely atmosphere in the class. It's quite hard to find a place like this to play the chess nowadays. Quite cool that a kids are interested to play the chess either,i used to think that only people 30 years old and above are interested in this kind of games and have been surprised to see the full class of kids playing the chess.Thumbs up and keep going the same way!
The club is located in the townhouse of The Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre. The elegant and slightly mysterious Victorian-style furnishing of the Centre itself settles the mind when just stepping inside. I would say an ideal place for intelligent activities such as chess. Michael is an experienced and enthusiastic chess teacher, who knows how to engage children with chess using his own teaching methodology and a personal approach to every student. My daughter is excited about Michael’s classes, highly recommend.
Michael is really lovely teacher! He is friendly, enthusiastic, very knowledgable, passionate about chess and his students. His teaching techniques are unique and very encouraging and with great results! I thoroughly enjoy our lessons and every time looking forward for the next one! Will highly recommend Michael and his Chess School!
