Only recently bought an electric car and my experiences so far, Sandbach Southbound Services were out of order only just had enough charge to get to Keele.. Birch Service Eastbound ALL out of order so had enough charge to go back on the motorway and charged on the Westbound. Today Beaconsfield Services advertised as having a CCS charger which is no longer there and had to charge on a AC Rapid Charger, Rapid 24 miles per hour of charge.. sort it out guys the world is going green and you are in prime position with ur facilities, improve them and maintain them please or my 3 litre petrol guzzler will have to come out of the garage more often than anyone likes..

Busy but able to charge the car after little wait. Ecotricity let's you charge without membership, as Polar network, for example. 30p/kWt

Chargers all working, 3 'pumps' with Chademo, AC, and on the middle one only CCS. Nice services too while you wait.

Local drivers report that because the site is the only of its kind in the area, its rife with those who come for the free electricity but plug in slow charging cars. A luxurious services hidden in side roads. *Update* Four well marked, painted bays. ACChademo and DCChademo tower and now another ACChademo tower. Located to the left of the main services building as you see it first, adjacent the yellow marked police bays which reduces ICEing.
