Tinky

The Haberdashers Kitchen is situated on the 1st floor of Closs & Hamblin in Eastbourne. As well as Eastbourne, you will also find it in Brighton, Winchester and Canterbury. There was a delicious cake selection, fresh soups, light lunches, made to order sandwiches and hand crafted teas and coffees. The decor is like a cosy yet spacious tea room with pretty crockery.

I required a small item during this Jan21 shutdown so I telephoned but thinking that I was being a nuisance. The ‘phone was answered by Kim who went over to the product that I wanted info on, she kindly measured the item and gave me a price per metre (and her name and extension so that I didn’t need to go through the exercise when I reverted with my order). The service I received on the calls and subsequent delivery was, in the current circumstances, well worthy of these, my sincere THANKS. We are so lucky to retain this store in Eastbourne, so I truly hope that we don’t take the store or it’s team for granted, or as a butt for our own frustrations at this or indeed any time.

Great home and haberdashery store with great variety and selection of items. The store is split in different floors separating their services and products in a quite well organised manner. The made to measure curtains and blinds service is located in the first floor and there is also a coffee shop on the second floor. The staff is very friendly and helpful, ready to help out with any queries you have. Recommended the visit.

They have everything! This time I was searching for a pillow. Their selection is smaller than other places, but they had exactly what I was looking for. There was a sale in too with many things at half price, or better. A very colourful place to shop with all the material hanging up in ordered rows. Happy and friendly staff at the checkout

Obviously lots of fabric and curtains etc but also an interesting range of gift ideas and a coffee shop to boot.
