Out of all of the Long Island leagues this one is run the best, hands down. The league office, is always available to deal with any concerns. They go above and beyond making sure the schedule is as accommodating as possible for each team. The website is also easily the best, compared to other competitors. They constantly look for ways to improve the experience for the individuals and teams by staying fully involved and listening to all feedback from each team. You will not find a better, more balanced, easier accessible, good group of people than they have at midnight hockey.

I've been playing and running a team in this league since 1997. I've played in other leagues but this is by fare the best run of all of them. Tom and his crew have always been willing to work with me to accommodate any problem that may arise. There are divisions for all ages and skill levels. Other leagues come and go but MHL has always been here.

I have been playing mens league hockey on Long Island for over 15 years and I have played at just about every league there is. As a captain that has run multiple teams I can tell you that Tom and his team (Dena, Chris and others) are deeply invested and care about their product. Several years ago I took two teams out of the league to play at the shiny new arena at Eisenhower park. Well I will tell you this, don't get lured in by the glitz and the glamour!! A few years later we left that league due to horrible mismanagement and we couldn't be happier with the MHL. Tom and his crew are communicative, approachable and actually show up at games so they know how teams play. They also make sure that the teams in the divisions are fairly matched and realign when necessary. They have been doing this for a long time and always try to improve. If you are looking for a league for your team MHL is the way to go.

This review is regarding my experience trying to sign up for open hockey with Midnight hockey and Tom Lynn. I tried to sign up for an open skate Wednesday in Syosset during the holidays. A ton of buddies were home i havent seen and they all wanted to skate. I signed up as protocol states and then i received a an email asking for me to provide a 'proper phone number' i responded saying i will call to confirm this i don't just give out my cell phone (many sites sell your info) Tom Lynns response to me was very short, nasty and not friendly. he told me since i didn't provide a phone number i couldn't play. Then following this he would not respond to any of my emails, or messages. Been around midnight hockey for a long time and i've always heard the talk about Mr. Tom Lynn, i take stuff like this with a grain of salt, but i can not respectively say i had a good experience with Tom and Midnight hockey. All i wanted to do is sign up and play some hockey with some buds, now i guess ill wait til easter... thanks Tom!
