Great to allow teenager's to go explore, VERY CLEAN facilities & a free overnight
Beware the outer pontoon berths where 2.5 hrs before HW.The tide flows hard. See entry in Reeds, too. Sometimes they allocate a downstream berth. So check with berth allocator. Later when the tide slackens one might wonder about the fuss. Facilities are excellent and well kept even over the Bank Holiday. A quiet location..with none of the raz a mataz of West Cowes. Waitrose and a Coop a short walk away. Note there are water taxis which could take one to Cowes or the Folly Inn.
A good place to berth for the night, you don't get the wash from the redfunnel ferry. Facilities are always clean and in good order. It's a 10min walk down to Cowes. It is always my first choice. I would also recommend booking in advance, The Lifeboat pub is just nextdoor, book this in advance as well.
Excellent Marina with good facilities. Reasonable prices and less busy than West Cowes. Good pub next door and supermarkets 10 mins walk away toward the chain ferry.
