Lovely traditional but stylish pub in the heart of York. Very friendly and helpful staff and vibey background music. Great place for a Sunday roast
Sat outdoors due to Covid restrictions. The outdoor area is very nice - most tables are covered so would be fine in the rain. More heaters would have been appreciated as only one or two tables were actually warmed by the heaters. I had a roast salmon main and apple crumble dessert. Both were good, and the accompanying house wine was also nice and reasonably priced. I will definitely return as the overall outdoor eating experience was very pleasant.
Very nice place. Quaint beer garden out the back. Staff most pleasant and helpful. Good selection of beers. But you are paying town prices and then a bit more.
