A lot of knowledge about beer in this tourist office. Couldn't answer questions of the churches or the opening hours of the main basilica. Düsseldorf seems to be a underdog city where the citizens can't see the beauty of their own art and history.
Excellent tourist support. The city has a lot of useful material and the officer was friendly and went beyond the requested information and gave us nice tips and history bits about the town.
Friendly staff happy to help English-speaking tourists find their way around to some good local bars and resturants. They gave us maps a day pass & clearly explained how easy the public transport system was.
Helpful staff but they won't sell you anything on a Sunday. Very frustrating.
I would suggest the visitors to come here before starting to walk around. The people working there are kind and polite, they give the travellers a brief overview of the city and a free city guide.
Such a nice/rich city and poor quality maps. So small and poorly designed. It was so difficult to use them. Staff was eager to help but didnt even know you could try Altbier from a supermarket with credit card. (Nearby Rewe markets sell this beer and they accept credit cards of course.) so, all in all it wasnt really a useful visit.
Their historic tour of the old town was quite nice and informative.
