This wonderful tea room delivered a variety of slices of the most delicious cakes to my daughter’s halls of residence at the university for her birthday. The freshers have recently started at the university and had just come out of isolation. It has been a huge worry for us parents, unfortunately we’re also unable to visit during half term because of limitations in our home city . Treats Tea Room has shown how caring and thoughtful the people of Durham are - it is comforting to know she is surrounded by such lovely people . A little kindness has gone a long, long way. Thank you so much.

Nice cosy atmosphere with really friendly staff. Can get busy during peak hours but there is an upstairs area with lots of more seating. Very well priced too especially being in the heart of Durham. Definitely coming back.

It's good. Toilet clean and was cleaned before ì used it which was nice. Spaced tables but could be more space as we were less than a metre away from the next table and felt weird about it. Tea was served in a glass and I felt that was a bit weird. Would have preferred a cup as it was very hot on my hands and it's just a bit nicer in a cup

Wonderful tea rooms hidden upstairs. Great value quality food and drink. We had a cooked breakfast and then came back for afternoon tea and cake
