By far the most welcoming and warm conservative synagogue in North Carolina with a very deep bench of lay leaders, biblical scholars from area universties, and an awesome Rabbi as well as Rabbi Emeritus, with a few retired Rabbis thrown in for good measure. They are currently undergoing a major building renovation with a high degree of grace and poise. They are assisted in this endeavor by Trinity Avenue Presbyterian Church in Durham, just a few short blocks from the synagogue.
