Beautiful nature reserve for a nice walk. Main path is wide and easy to trek. Very suitable for the kids and elderlies. Saw lots of mushrooms as well. Definitely a good place to stop by if you are on A9. I did the 1 mile circular route which only takes just under 40mins. The place does get busy and parking is a bit limited. 3 parking charges applied, unless you are a NTS member.

This was an amazingly beautiful spot. The walk was easy, once you got down the sheet of ice that was the upper parking lot and stairs.

Perfect place for a walk in the Forrest not far from Edinburgh . Only 1.30 hour drive . Beautiful walk in Forrest to see the Autumn colours .. perfect family walk . Although there might be a issue with the car park in busy times but worth a visit . No public toilet there. There is a place for coffee & cakes in case you need something . Highly recommended .

A perfect afternoon stroll through the towering Douglas-firs and the dense forest air. Sunbeams trickled through the high canopy onto the soft brown floor, with the sound of the River Brann toppling endlessly over the Black Linn Falls in the background. It was a serene and relaxing atmosphere overall. There was added entertainment in adding to the coined logs, viewing the various art objects scattered about, and crawling through the old hermits cave (complete with mossy hangings dripping methodically with moisture).
