The food was amazing: creamy risotto with beets and pine nuts plus scallops (pan seared and so savory!) It was the best thing I've eaten all month. Even better than the food, though, was the service. The staff here is kind, courteous and dedicated to good food. The chef went the extra mile to make sure my food was hot and fresh. Through my own error, forgot my wallet in Chemainus, I was very late to pick up my take out order. I explained what happened and they made me fresh food and were very understanding. If you get the chance, please enjoy the Ainslie. I look forward to eating here again!

This is an incredible establishment. The food is designed with a master level of flavor and aesthetic. The server we’ve had on both visits is very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I’m also very surprised at the value for what you get. We left full and satisfied.
We ate dinner here last night. We picked from their Sip and Save special and it was great. I had the pakora to start, then the cod and the pistachio honey for dessert. We’ve eaten lunch at the Ainslie a few times and it was decent, but last night was really notable. We’ll be back for sure.
My partner and I had a beautiful anniversary dinner here yesterday evening. If food is are the chef's here certainly know how to create a masterpiece. The service was quick and very friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Thank you for a lovely dinner
