This is my favourite Japanese food restaurant outside of Victoria!! Excellent food, service and prices. So glad to see John is still in business. I've been going there since they opened, but now that I'm back in Victoria I only get to stop n when I'm driving through Duncan.
Always great food here. Prices are fair and the tea is the best. The server had this really long painted nails which is always a turn off for me and she seemed overwhelmed with the three tables that were in there. I thought it was odd that she brought me a soy sauce dish but no soy sauce.
Order is wrong every time we phone for pick up. The waitress spoke perfect English, but didn't repeat the order back. Not sure we will go again. We go here when Japan Town is closed but problems every time.
This has easily become one of my favorite places to eat in Duncan. The food is always fresh, they also have a great selection of vegi option. I suggest the Kampyo roll, it is a favorite between me and my partner. As you can see from the photo I was all to happy to dig in before I remembered to take a photo.
