Good price fast service
Bought turf from Mitchell's in spring and laid on rotivated and prepared ground. Within weeks small patches started dying, and over summer these patches have grown. Have tried reseeding twice but nothing takes on these dead patches. Local garden centre *thinks* it is a fungal disease that was in original turf and is spreading. Have tried contacting Mitchell's to address the matter, been told to email pictures, which we have done. Have called them numerous times, but always told the I need to speak to the owner and he will call back. He never does. In short, poor product and appalling customer services. They don't care about customer service once they have your money.
My experience. Ordered and paid for turf on Monday for delivery on Thursday. Telephoned Thursday morning to confirm and advised that the turf would be delivered on Thursday afternoon. Telephoned 16:45 before they closed to be told that it was on its way and would be delivered soon. The turf did not arrive. Telephoned on Friday morning at 9:10, was told that they would look into the delivery and ring back in 5 minutes., 40 minutes later I rang back and was told it would be delivered within the hour. 12:40, three hours later telephoned again to establish when the turf would be delivered. In an hour I was told, they were sorry they had problems cutting the turf! How come if the turf was to be delivered on Thursday! Still waiting for delivery and hour later, no telephone call from customer service or driver. The delivery and sales/customer service is appalling and in the dark ages. Delivery companies offer 2 hour windows for delivery. This is a local company within 20 miles of point of delivery. Customers have jobs, children and families. As a local family owned company they desperately need to review their values and customer service. The deception and total lack of care for the customer is mind blowing. I hope Mitchell Turf read this review and take note.
