Came on Christmas Eve as couldnt travel home for Christmas to Birmingham was a last minute booking to meet my Dad and we had 3 lovely lunches, the Christmas cheer was in full spring and we had a lovely time, worth the drive from Harrogate indeed!. Thanks and happy new year to you all, hope to come back one day x

A warm and friendly welcome from Curtis and the team, however I experienced some stomach upsets after my meal there. This was the only time it has happened following a meal at the dun cow; every other time it has been top-notch. Perhaps a rare off day?

Brilliant pub just outside of Knutsford. We went for Christmas meal a few days before Christmas and the food and service was excellent

Today we called in to the pub for the first time for lunch. Unaware it was the first day of opening for food. Initially, pleasantly surprised by the surroundings and impressed by the sincere welcome given by the staff. Despite what was stated as a reduced menu there was a plentiful choice of nice dishes. The food was traditional food fayre, cooked and presented to a high standard. The tables quite quickly filled reflecting the popularity of the pub. We both said that independently we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the pub to others. It certainly won’t be my last visit and we wish them well in these challenging times.
